Meet the Changemakers Helping Shape a Better World

Big changes don’t always begin with powerful organisations, governments or people with decades of experience. Sometimes they begin with a young person who notices something isn’t right and decides to do something about it.

Zorzle’s changemakers are young people from around the world who have turned their ideas, experiences and concerns into action. They are tackling environmental problems, standing up to bullying, improving access to education, developing new technology, supporting their communities and speaking out when something needs to change.

Their stories are different, but each one offers a reminder that age doesn’t determine how much influence someone can have.

What Makes Someone a Changemaker?

There isn’t one particular personality, background or talent that creates a changemaker. Some are confident campaigners who are comfortable speaking to thousands of people, while others begin by quietly trying to solve a problem they have encountered in their own community.

What connects them is the decision to act.

Many of the young changemakers featured by Zorzle started with something surprisingly simple. They noticed a problem, asked questions and looked for a way to help. Their first step wasn’t necessarily enormous, and few could have predicted where it would eventually lead.

That’s important because stories about extraordinary people can sometimes make change feel beyond the reach of everyone else. We want these stories to do the opposite.

Young People Are Already Changing the World

Across the Zorzle collection, you’ll meet young people working on issues that affect communities around the world.

Some have challenged injustice or fought for children’s rights. Others have created organisations, developed technology, protected the environment or found practical solutions to problems affecting the people around them. You’ll also discover changemakers who turned their own difficult experiences into something that could help somebody else.

Their impact isn’t always measured by awards, headlines or the number of people who know their names.
