Day 14 – Just One Student’s Note

When Chris resigned from a very toxic workplace he was feeling hurt and broken. This note left one day on his noticeboard from a student lifted his spirits. Remembering kind words and actions years later automatically enables us to relive the warm feelings of a moment in time. No doubt, the student understood more of what Chris was feeling than he realised.

Kindness is a wonderful seed that grows and grows and grows.

It was nothing really.
Just a few words.
One note.
No party.
Not a million dollars.
No banquet.
No memorial thanksgiving.
A few words but one note.
If music were words
This was a symphony.

When the toxicity of life steals your joy
and empties your soul,
it only takes a few simple words, a smile,
or an act of kindness
to kindle a fire
of warmth and love
that you relive time and time again.

Enjoy the music, and never miss an opportunity
to heal yourself and others
with kindness.
